They say that variety is the spice of life, but watching Gladys in action with clients, you’d have to agree that it probably has something to do with the fountain of youth as well. Her contagious level of enthusiasm for all aspects of the real estate business sets Gladys apart from the average realtor. And setting herself apart from the rest has been Gladys’ calling since 1973. Whether she is working on Land Development, Commercial or Residential sales, the key to her success is the ability to convert prospects to friends. And after 29 years of selling real estate she has a tremendous network of friends.
“I have never considered my work to be a job, but rather a great privilege. Nothing thrills me more than to enter into an aspect of peoples lives which is so very important to them and of real interest to me.”
As the saying goes, 80% of the business is done by 20% of the agents, and Gladys has always been in the 20% who took this calling seriously. Her level of dedication and personal involvement is evident at every turn. In return she achieves a great sense of accomplishment both for her clients and for herself.
“My selling philosophy is simple and effective, that when the right house comes along it will just click, there is no hard sell. Whether it takes seeing 5 or 25 houses, you will know when the home is right for you. The secret remains respecting people.”
Gladys and her son Jace are currently marketing a 44 unit Life Lease Bungalow development for the 55+ generation in Richmond. Gladys finds it extremely satisfying to help seniors attain their retirement goals and remain independent.
She is passing on her professional style and attitude to Jace. They both respect the business, they thrive on it, and because of their dedication and style .their friends and clients also succeed.
